Bronx-bred, Virgina-raised M.C., Terrence Thornton, aka Pusha T, aka King Push, made his way to the L.E.S. to be a part of the last installment of ALIFE Sessions for the Summer. This event marked the return for Pusha, as he and his brother Malice performed in the same space back in 2007. Fast forward 6 years, King Push returned to the ALIFE backyard solo, this time representing a new crew, with an even deeper catalog of hits under his belt. GETLIVE! warmed up the scene, masterfully spinning contemporary classics, while guests enjoyed complimentary Heineken beers. About an hour and half into the event, Pusha made his way through the crowd, proceeded by copious of bass, chanting “G.O.O.D. Music.” Upon hitting the stage, Push shouted “let’s start where it all began,” breaking into the classic street anthem, "Grindin’.” "From ghetto to ghetto, backyard to yard…,” the crowd supported, seemingly knowing every word. Push followed up with tracks such as "Popular Demand,”"Numbers on the Board,” "Blocka,” “Sweet Serenade,” and "Millions,” hammering the capacity crowd for over 30 mins. Finally exiting the stage to his latest single "Nostalgia,” Pusha thanked ALIFE for the support over the years. (Directed and edited by: Sean Phazes)
